How to Use-old

Step by step

It can take up to 3 cycles to find your new rhythm using UltuCup. Take a deep breath. Relax. The more relaxed you are the easier will be to insert / remove your cup.

What is UltuCup?

UltuCup is a reusable premium medical grade silicone menstrual cup that collects, rather than absorbs, your period.

Where it sits

UltuCup

UltuCup sits low in the base of the vaginal canal and collects instead of absorbing your flow

Tampons

Tampons sit high in the vaginal canal and absorb your flow

How to use

It can take up to 3 cycles to find your new rhythm using UltuCup. Take a deep breath. Relax. The more relaxed you are the easier will be to insert / remove your cup.

1Boil and Wash

Before first use clean your UltuCup in boiling water for 5-10 mins and thoroughly wash your hands.

2Fold

Fold your soft and flexible silicone cup for easy insertion. The U-Fold and Push Down Fold are both great options.

3Insert

Get in a comfortable position. Relax your vaginal muscles and insert the menstrual cup into the vagina, aiming it horizontally towards your tailbone.

4Remove, Rinse, Repeat

Thoroughly wash your hands, pinch the base of the cup and squeeze gently to release the seal. Empty, wash and reuse.

How to Clean

Boil

Before using your cup the first time and between periods clean your UltuCup in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.

Wash

Wash your UltuCup thoroughly with warm water and a mild, unscented oil-free soap.

Clean the Holes

The four tiny holes at the top of your UltuCup must stay clean and clear. Give them the extra attention they deserve.

Keep your pH in balance, avoid cleaning with:

Chemicals, scented soap, antibacterial soap, dish soap, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, pre-moistened wipes, vinegar, oil-based soap, Castile/peppermint soap, or tea tree oil.

Storage

Store in a dry, breathable container like the natural cotton pouch it came with.
